Tomas Florez is a Colombian visual artist whose artistic practice began in early childhood and evolved through formal studies in the visual arts. During his academic formation, he developed a distinctive proficiency in airbrush technique, a skill that became foundational to his professional career.
Working alongside his four brothers, Florez helped establish a family art enterprise dedicated to muralism and decorative artistic production. This collaborative period allowed him to refine both his technical execution and large-scale compositional skills, contributing to projects that brought recognition in Panama, Guatemala, Peru, and the United States.
A significant portion of his career has been devoted to the customization of automobiles, motorcycles, and architectural mural environments. Over time, his artistic exploration expanded into the creation of sculptural works using reclaimed wood, producing pieces that emphasize dimensionality, depth, and material transformation.
Currently based in Florida, Florez focuses on thematic mural installations and fine art painting on canvas and architectural surfaces. His work adapts to diverse spatial contexts, integrating narrative, environment, and visual impact.
